August 12th 2000 saw the launch of 'Cause & Effect' with their very first party at the Newcastle Arts Centre. Over the next few months the night quickly established itself as a major part of the local underground dance scene. Eight years later and after a brief hiatus, they're back. The music policy of the main room is Hard Energy (The darker, harder edged side of Hard House), Acid Techno, Ravey Techno and Hard Trance. The contrasting second room is a mashup of Breaks, Drum & Bass and Oldskool Hardcore, ensuring a huge diversity in the music at each event and polishing off the friendly, buzzing atmosphere which Cause & Effect became renowned for.
